Importance of Nature:
Nature to the Transcendentalists was very important. They believed that it was important to be in touch with the roots and more natural parts of our life. It doesn't seem like that exists anymore in our daily lives, but you can see it in a lot of the young childrens movies that they've been putting out. For example, the movie The Lorax is all about the preservation of the land and the trees in the movie. It talked about all the detrimental affects of tearing them down. The movie ends on a high note with everyone learning from the errors of their ways, and learning to respect nature in it's rightful aspect.
“I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees for the trees have no tongues.”
― Dr. Seuss, The Lorax
“It's not about what it is, it's about what it can become.”
― Dr. Seuss, The Lorax
